'GTA 6' Release Date, News & Update: New Rockstar ‘Grand Theft Auto’ Map Could Return To Roots?

The new "GTA 6" map by Rockstar is a big wait-and-see among "Grand Theft Auto" fans since the possibility leaving the US soil came with this new iteration. While projections have reached far and wide to place "GTA 6" in London, Manila, Rio De Janeiro and Moscow, the new "Grand Theft Auto" map could return the Rockstar game to its roots and take the iteration to Dundee and Edinburgh in Scotland.

New analysis by GTA 5 Cheats looked into taking "GTA 6" to Dundee, the birthplace of the first "Grand Theft Auto" under the DMA development studio. The media outlet pairs a Dundee geography for "GTA 6" with Edinburgh, where the current headquarters of Rockstar North is located and from where "Grand Theft Auto" games are being churned out.

  According to GTA 5 Cheats, "GTA 6" returning to its roots with a Dundee and Edinburgh map merits an overall B+ rating. In terms of topographical features, popular landmarks and story potential Dundee and Edinburgh balance each other out for a "GTA 6" map.

The downside to taking "GTA 6" to Dundee and Edinburgh is the remarkably low rate of major crimes in both cities although they do have their plethora of "petty" crimes. Ironic really that although Dundee and Edinburgh are home to one of most violent and crime-riddled games in existence, neither city readily exhibits the trademark of "Grand Theft Auto" cities.

  Rockstar could, of course, do a major tweak under creative license for storylines to develop a "GTA 6" map in these "Grand Theft Auto" hometowns. GTA 5 Cheats qualifies that although the potential for interest among devoted "Grand Theft Auto" fans could allow a Dundee and Edinburgh "GTA 6" map to fly, perhaps the idea is better suited for a special feature rather than a main offering.

As "Grand Theft Auto" fans continue to wait for firm details from Rockstar on "GTA 6," the roster of map projections remain solid with London at the top of the list. That's not to say that "GTA 6" map projections for locations within the US are not buzzing with similar, if not more, strength.
