‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6 Spoilers & First Photos: Untold Stories Refugees Seeking Allies & ‘Darker Forces’ In Storybrooke

Refugees from the Land of Untold Stories have crash-landed in Storybrooke, as evident in the newly released photos from the Season 6 premiere of "Once Upon a Time." Judging from the pictures, the new arrivals didn't arrive in a quiet manner given the debris they left behind.

In the photos, Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Regina (Lana Parrilla), Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Prince Charming/David (Josh Dallas), Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), and the rest of the gang are seen inspecting the crash site left behind by the Untold Stories refugees. The premiere episode is titled "The Savior," which will also feature the show's heroes teaming up to stop Mr. Hyde's (Sam Witwer) evil plans. "Once Upon a Time" creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis told TVLine that the inhabitants of the Untold Stories either paused their lives or had their lives paused for them. Their lives will resume once again in Season 6, though it will not be the same for everyone.

Horowitz said Untold Stories refugees will either "gain" or suffer a "loss" after arriving in Storybrooke. According to Kitsis, the new arrivals will seek Emma and her group's help, while others will lean towards "darker forces," TVLine further reported.

The premiere episode of "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will also showcase Emma developing a "mysterious side effect," while Regina and Zelena (Rebecca Mader) will accept their newfound sisterhood by being roommates. Rumple (Robert Carlyle) will attempt to remove the sleeping curse from Belle (Emilie de Ravin) with a stranger's help.

"Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will go back to basics, as opposed to the previous seasons' journeys into other fairytale realms such as "Frozen," Neverland, Underworld, and Camelot. Horowitz said the new seasons will focus on the heroes "coming home" to the magical Maine town of Storybrooke and "figuring out what life is like at home," TV Guide reported.

That being said, "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will introduce smaller story arcs that will culminate to one huge story by the time the season ends. The setting may be familiar, but viewers will see fresh elements, too.

The sixth season of the ABC drama will introduce new characters such as Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz), Jafar (Oded Fehr), Jasmine (Karen David), the Count of Monte Cristo, Captain Nemo (who will be at odds with Hook), and the Greek God Morpheus (who will greatly impact Rumple and Belle's relationship). "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 premieres on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8/9c on ABC.
