Hillary Clinton: Even Pneumonia is Not Tough Enough to Put Her Down

Last Sunday, September 11, the world commemorated the victims of the 9/11 tragedy. Presidential candidate for the Democratic party, Hillary Clinton, attended the gathering though her appearance in the 15th 9/11 memorial ceremony was cut short because she was feeling unwell. Later on, word came out that the senator was actually sick with pneumonia.

In a cruel world of politics, Hillary Clinton's state of health has always raised doubt from the public. Is she still fit for the office? In comparison to the infamous business tycoon and her presidential opponent, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton's political track record shows her credibility.

In a world dominated by men, Hillary Clinton is one tough woman who strives to elevate her gender's stature. People may have questioned her capabilities but she is sure showing them that she is not going to back down.

There's a long line of women who has proven their place in sports, politics and in other fields ruled by men. Just last month, Chinese Olympic swimmer Fu Yuanhui shocked everyone when she confessed that she had her period and had been feeling "a bit weak and really tired" during a medley relay. Another Olympian and skating star, Kristi Yamaguchi, has been diagnosed with asthma.

When Jennifer Lawrence accepted her Oscar for her role in Silver Linings, the actress was actually suffering from pneumonia. Actress, writer, producer, and director, Lena Dunham, recently shared a funny Facebook post about her endometriosis.

This goes to show that women do excel in their selected field and they are tough enough to withstand any circumstances (or health issues.) In this era, you can no longer label a person based on their gender. Everybody deserves to be given equal opportunities. So for to Senator Hillary Clinton and to other empowering women out there, stay fierce!
