A remastered collection of the three titles starring Ezio Auditore da Firenze in the "Assassin's Creeed" series has been announced by Ubisoft, with the "Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection" set to hit the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on November.
"Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection" was recently revealed by Ubisoft, as reported by Polygon, setting the stage for the remastered return of the legendary Italian Renaissance-era master Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze. "Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection" will arrive to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 15.
As the collection's name implies, "Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection" will carry all three games in the main "Assassin's Creed" series starring Ezio Auditore da Firenze. The titles included are 2009's "Assassin's Creed II," 2010's "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood," and 2011's "Assassin's Creed: Revelations."
"Back in 2009, Assassin's Creed's success wasn't yet so certain, and its developers decided the series needed to undergo an unexpected shift," said Ubisoft's announcement. Noting how the second entry in the "Assassin's Creed" series shifted from the setting of its 2007 predecessor, the "Third Crusade-era Middle Eastern setting was swapped out for the 15th-century Italian Renaissance, and the redemptive struggle of Altaïr Ibn La'Ahad made way for the cocky charm of Ezio Auditore da Firenze" who will now star in the "Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection."
The games starring Ezio Auditore da Firenze is commonly touted as the shining point of the series' timeline, to the point that Ezio has become the mascot of the franchise and one of the most recognizable characters in recent video game history. "Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection" will now allow players to relive that history, and in full remastered glory for the current generation of consoles.
That means that with "Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection," fans of the series will once again be able to play through the life and saga of master assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze through his trials as a young man in Italy. They can then jumpstart the Renaissance in Rome, expanding the influence of the Assassin Brotherhood in the process, and relive his final active days as an Assassin in a personal journey through Constantinople as one of the greatest master Assassins in the series' fictional history.
Get ready to get back into the boots of Ezio Auditore da Firenze when "Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection" hits on November 15 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
