‘Days of Our Lives’ Cast & Spoilers: Christie Clark, Austin Peck Heading Back to DAYS

A couple of stars are coming back to "Days of Our Lives," and reports revealed that Christie Clark and Austin Peck are among them. Both are expected to appear in 2017.

Christie Clark is reprising her role as Carrie Brady Reed on "Days of Our Lives," while Austin Peck is also coming back as Carrie's husband, Austin Reed. Soaps.com that the two will stay for a while in Salem next year.

Christie Clark is pleased to be back after she left the show in 2012. She held the role first in 1986. "Days of Our Lives is the gift that keeps on giving for me," she said in a statement, according to TVLine. "Thirty years of fun, drama and love in the afternoon!!"

Austin Peck played as Austin Reed between 1995 and 2002, and he was last seen in the soap in 2005. The character though returned in 2011 and 2012, but it was played by Patrick Muldoon.

Spoilers courtesy of Celebrity Dirty Laundry revealed that Carrie and Austin's return will be in line with the storyline involving Anna (Leann Hunley), who is also slated for return in the DAYS. Anna will be involved in some trouble in Salem and she would need Carrie and Austin to come back.

In a related casting news, Sal Stowers, who played Lani, is also expected to be back in Salem. The character simply disappeared before, fully ignored by the rest of the characters, but she will be back on the canvass soon, according to CDL. Lani's storyline might have something to do with the Carvers.

Kim (Patsy Pease) and Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) are likewise slated for a comeback for Theresa (Jen Lilley), who will need some help in times of a crisis. Spoilers also reveal that they are going to stay around for a while to help Hope.

"Days of Our Lives" airs Mondays to Fridays at 1:00 p.m. on NBC.
