‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Updates; Negan and King Ezekiel

Season 7 of AMC's "The Walking Dead" is only a few weeks away, and while fans of the zombie apocalypse series can't wait for the new chapter to start, teasers for the upcoming season have left even more unanswered questions.

Many of "The Walking Dead" fans were left both furious and in awe at the jaw-dropping cliffhanger that ended season 6, with many dying to find out faced the wrath of Negan's barbed wire bat. While there were plenty of fan theories that suggest that it would either be Glenn or Abraham who met his bloody death in the last episode, no one knows for sure until the new season premieres.

According to Screen Rant, a huge chunk of season 7 of "The Walking Dead" will focus on Negan's backstory. Negan who will probably be the main antagonist for the entire season was pretty mysterious and relatively unknown before the season 6 finale. The new season of "The Walking Dead" will reveal how Negan assembled his army, and how he came to power.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who portrays the leather jacket wearing, bat swinging bad guy, says in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, that while Rick and his group were going around and worrying about their survival, Negan had his own thing, going about "taking care of business." Morgan also added that fans will get to see who Negan was when the zombie outbreak began in the new season of "The Walking Dead."

In another promo for "The Walking Dead" season 7, a new character, named King Ezekiel, along with his lavish pet tiger, was introduced, as he welcomed Morgan and the other half of the survivors, who weren't captured by Negan's men, into "The Kingdom." According to "The Walking Dead" comics, Ezekiel is a friend of the Hilltop Colony, and seeks to bring down Negan and the Saviours. He might be the one who helps Rick's group escape from Negan's clutches.

Season 7 of "The Walking Dead" premieres on October 28.
