Los Angeles Lakers Sign Power Forward Thomas Robinson

The Los Angeles Lakers added another big man to their roster, with their signing of 6 ft. 10 power forward, Thomas Robinson. Robinson was first drafted in the 2012 Draft Pick, number 5 overall, by the Sacramento Kings.

Another young player has been added to the Los Angeles Lakers squad as the 25-year-old Thomas Robinson was recently signed by the purple and yellow. The former Kansas Jayhawks prospect will be entering his 5th season in the NBA, and will be joining his 6th team in the league.

Initially drafted by the Sacramento Kings, Robinson has bounced around the NBA, playing for the Kings, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Houston Rockets, the Portland Trailblazers, and the Brooklyn Nets, before signing with the Lakers, in his 4 year professional career.

According to the Lakers' official website, Robinson has a career average of 4.9 points and 4.8 rebounds. Despite putting up decent numbers, the power forward from Kansas was never really given the opportunity to take his game further. Robinson has previously found success while playing for the Portland Trailblazers, where has given the opportunity to start, and recorded a double- double in a win against the Milwaukee Bucks. In the games after, he would play solid minutes off the bench, acting as a backup to All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge, before being traded.

There are still questions regarding Robinson's role for the Lakers, who currently have not put their pieces together, as the season draws closer. The current Lakers lineup consist of a handful of big men in the center and power forward positions, with no clear idea on who will be paired to start.

The Lakers are also looking to sign former Lakers star, Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, according to the Los Angeles Times. World Peace says that he can still play good basketball, and that he is excited to once again be back in training camp.

With the NBA regular season almost here, the Lakers are still trying to figure out their roster.
