Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner Divorce: Michael Vartan Comforting Jen During Tough Times?

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" Ben Affleck may be staring in a major blockbuster but when it comes to his personal life, it's being reported his marriage is on the rocks. 

A number of news outlets have reported that the 42-year-old actor and wife Jennifer Garner, 43, are in the middle of getting a divorce. Apparently the marriage has been in trouble for a long time and the "13 Going on 30," is said to be looking to call it quits.

"She can't take it anymore," quoted Life & Style of an insider. "She's been consulting with a high-profile divorce lawyer."

One of the reasons Jen is ending it is reportedly because of the "Gone Girl" star's irresponsible behavior which has included gambling, random disappearances and not being able to attend to the kids properly. 

"[Jen] got a call that Ben was 40 minutes late to pick up the kids from school," said the source. "She had to scramble to arrange another ride for them." 

Garner, a mother of three, is reportedly looking to get sole custody of the children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. "She doesn't trust Ben alone with the kids," added the source. "Custody is not negotiable."

In addition, NY Daily News also reports that an insider disclosed, "Ben Affleck only likes things his way or no way. He's as stubborn as a mule. He's not exactly flexible. He is prone to moodiness when he doesn't get his way. Dealing with him is not a walk in the park."

"He hasn't gone back to her to try to fix her hurt feelings," added the insider about Ben's actions and it's "Like, he just doesn't care. Ben doesn't want drama so he hasn't confronted her."

In a new report by OK! Magazine, in addition to turning to friends and family during this tough time, Jennifer also leaning on ex-boyfriend Michael Vartan. 

Vartan and Garner were co-stars on the television show "Alias" and dated for a year, 2003 to 2004. The pair share a special bond especially because "they supported each other through their early days of fame," says a source. 

"Since finding out she and Ben are on the rocks, he's been reaching out more, and she's really been enjoying memory lane," revealed the source.

The divorce is a common ground for the former couple because there's Michael can understand exactly what Jen is going through as the actor's ex Lauren Shaar filed for divorce back in July 2014.
