‘ARK: Survival Evolved’ [LATEST NEWS UPDATES]: Studio Wildcard Proves Bad Reviews Wrong As ‘Scorched Earth’ Expansion Lures More Players Into The Game

Following Studio Wildcard's announcement to release the first paid "Scorched Earth" expansion in "ARK: Survival Evolved" for $19.99, several fans and players slammed the game developer on Steam with negative reviews. Unfortunately, Studio Wildcard was unfazed on the reactions and ideological issues from some players and fans as it earned more gamers following the release of the much-criticized game expansion.

Studio Wildcard has definitely proven all "ARK: Survival Evolved" critics and bashers wrong when it still earned a stable increase in both its "total number of players and the average amount of time people are spending on the game," as per the report of GitHyp and the statistics from Steam Spy. Aside from more players, Venture Beat also revealed that response from the almost 2,000 reviews of the game were mostly "positive."

A contradicting report, however, has also emerged about the game reviews on Studio Wildcard's "ARK: Survival Evolved." As a matter of fact, MyGaming pointed out that if there were 2,000 "positive reviews," the game earned 12,000 negative ones. But despite the negative analyses of the game, its active playerbase continuously grows month on month.

Meanwhile, Studio Wildcard has definitely boosted the content of "ARK: Survival Evolved" by launching the recent Xbox One v741.0 patch. The latest update has brought several fixes and performance improvements, not to mention the Night Vision Goggles and two new flying yet tamable creatures called Archaeopteryx and Tapejara, as Parent Herald previously noted.

Inquisitr also added that "ARK: Survival Evolved" Xbox One v741.0 update was actually part of two updates if players purchased the game's ever-controversial "Scorched Earth" DLC. According to the online news site, the main update weighed in at 5.7 GB while the game's first-paid expansion was at 3.4 GB.

Despite the promising changes in "ARK: Survival Evolved" brought by the latest Xbox One v741.0 patch, there were also some bad news. In fact, the highly anticipated update to The Center map, which will bring the Redwood Island and the new Edge of the World content, was not included with the update.
