NBA Trade Rumors: Miami Heat Pursuing Rudy Gay Ready To Pull Assets; The Kings Ready To Let Go Rudy Gay

Rudy Gay is likely to become a member of the Miami Heat as several reports show. With a tough relationship with the Sacramento Kings organization and some issues about the team's plan, it is no doubt that Rudy Gay wants out of the Kings.

According to the Amico Hoops, the Miami Herald mentioned that Rudy Gay is eyeing to go to the Miami Heat. It has been said that the Miami Heat had an appeal to Rudy Gay.

If Rudy Gay wants to go to the Miami Heat right away, it's going to be impossible at the moment. The Heat doesn't have enough tradable assets for them to acquire Rudy Gay. Another issue is Rudy Gay's salary, this season, Gay is earning $13.3 million with a player option to increase his salary up to $14.4 million in 2017-2018. This could be a very tough issue on the Miami Heat's side.

As per the CBS Sports detailed, the player option thing on Rudy Gay's contract would not be a much of an issue since there is a collective bargaining agreement as well as the fact the NBA salary cap will massively increase during the 2017 NBA season. The only thing that will block the Miami Heat to acquire Rudy Gay is trade assets. Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic would likely be a protected since Chris Bosh has been ruled out to play along side with the departure of Dwayne Wade.

Another point coming up is that the Sacramento Kings denied the rumors that they are willing to trade Rudy Gay. Kings owner Vivek Ranadive stated that they will be holding on to Rudy Gay as he believes that he can convince Rudy Gay to stay with them until the next NBA season.

Seeing Rudy Gay going to the Eastern Conference once again would be a great idea, since the Western Conference are packed with powerhouse teams. But the idea of the Miami heat getting Rudy Gay from the Sacramento Kings seemed to be far from the reality as several issues blocked the way out for them.
