NBA Trade Rumors: Chris Paul And Blake Griffin Joining Boston Celtics?

The new NBA season has just begun but NBA trade rumors are getting more intense and unbelievable. According to reports, the veteran players of Los Angeles Clippers, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul are heading to Boston Celtics. Is there any truth to this report?

Per Sports Rageous LA Clippers head coach Doc Rivers admitted that a trade involving Chris Paul and Blake Griffin could be discussed before the trade's deadline in February. This trade would depend on the team's performance in the early season. The publication stressed that the veterans could land in Boston Celtics.

Chris Paul and Blake Griffin will be free agents by 2016-17 NBA Season. Doc Rivers is now considering their options concerning Griffin and Paul. If the pair is not good enough to beat Golden State Warriors or San Antonio Spurs in the Western conference, then trading the NBA All-Stars is a possible option for Clippers.

Reports have it that Los Angeles Clippers could lose Chris Paul and Blake Griffin in the free agency market and this would be a disadvantage to the team. This is what happened to Oklahoma City Thunder, who also lost Kevin Durant in the free market last summer.

Initially, OKC was confident that Kevin Durant will stay but the basketball superstar signed with Golden State Warriors, leaving OKC Thunder in a mess. Durant is irreplaceable and the team didn't have a hint that he will be leaving them. So everyone was shocked when Durant joined the Warriors, which is a contender in the NBA league.

Everything is possible in NBA. Previous reports suggest that Doc Rivers wants to keep Chris Paul and Blake Griffin until they retire. However, we know that things could change. In fact, no one thinks that Miami Heat will ever let go of Dwyane Wade but they did. So, seeing players wearing another jersey in the next season is very likely.

What do you think of this LA Clippers and Boston Celtics trade? Will Clippers really let go of Blake Griffin and Chris Paul? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
