'Lucifer' Season 2 Episode 2 Recap : Why Is Lucifer's Mom On Earth?

Lucifer Season 2 Episode 2 featuring Tom Ellis may have been delayed for one week but it came to TV screens with a surprise, Lucifer's mother escaping from a bloodbath. Lucifer's mother, Charlotte, the one he was so afraid of, has come to life in a form of human being. Charlotte's entrance was bloody, asking help from Lucifer, seemed like she was getting away from someone.

Lucifer's mother escaped from the gates of hell and returned to Earth following two attempts of fitting in a body. After two attempts, the mother of Lucifer finally ended in a hot, young attorney's body with a screwdriver on her neck.

Lucifer's mom, Charlotte, found her way back to her favorite son. Lucifer was not so happy about.

Lucifer has always envisioned his mother as an evil monster, after she put him in Hell. His mother returned to earth, found Lucifer, but it was not a happy comeback.

Lucifer wanted to prove that his mother does not have a hidden agenda. Lucifer then investigated the life of the woman where his mother is currently residing.

Maze was asked by Lucifer to babysit his mother while he goes through the investigation. Charlotte tricked Maze and ran away with a credit card, which will make it harder for Lucifer to find her.

As Lucifer found out, Charlotte used a body of an attorney who was connected to a case involving drugs. Her employee tried to kill her and when she didn't die, her employee decided to do it again.

He did not succeed as Lucifer and Chloe came to the rescue. Ironically, the evil mother Lucifer has always envisioned of her didn't turn out to be true.

Charlotte confessed to Lucifer the real reason why she sent him to Hell. A mother who loves her son deeply didn't want her husband to destroy him.

Giving a wink to heaven after Lucifer gives her a chance created a sign that Charlotte is back with something more than making peace with her son. "Why is Lucifer's mother here on Earth?"
