'Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind' Updates: TV Spinoff Gets Help From 'True Detective EP?

Rumor has it that an award-winning film would soon drop a major comeback. Will Joel and Clementine break our hearts once again? The 2004 mind-bending romantic comedy movie "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is reported to hit our TV screens real soon.

In an exclusive report released by The Hollywood Reporter, the well-renowned love team of Joel Barish, played by Jim Carrey, and Clementine, Kate Winslet, is now in the works of returning from the much-acclaimed movie to TV series. The "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" won the Oscar for the Best Screenplay, written by Charlie Kaufman, Michel Gondry and Pierre Bismuth.

The Hollywood Reporter said Golin and Kaufman are not in any way involved in this potential spinoff. But, would be in partnership with Richard Brown, True Detective executive producer.

The Hollywood Reporter said that in this season of film-rebooted shows, Anonymous Content is alongside with Universal Cable Productions spearheaded by its producer, Steve Golin. Oscar-winning films like "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is said to be a total eye-candy for this "reboot frenzy" in hollywood.

"The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" was produced by Focus Features. The movie zeroed in on the strange, mind-boggling love story of Joel and Clementine, who one day decided to consult a firm in order to rid of each other from their memories--and that's tragic, total heartbreak.

But, some say that when true love hits you hard, there's no escape. "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" did raise the bar that love is maze-like and one should exert extra effort to detach. A different story of friendship, love and sacrifice, it was.

Expect the binge-watchers to celebrate this sci-fi love story because this collaboration would sure fly. "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," would take us in a trip down memory lane.
