Robot Wars Reboot Latest News Update: Will It Be Back For Another Season?

After being on hiatus for years and debuting again early this year, "Robot Wars" is definitely back for another season in BBC Two, and Angela Scanlon and Dara O Briain are slated to return as hosts as well. The last time the series was broadcast was on 2004 on Channel 5, and BBC first broadcasted the series on 1998 until 2002.

"Robot Wars" is a series where budding inventors compete against each other as they pit their robots against one another as well as avoid the "house robots." House robots are the resident robots of the game, an additional challenge in the competition.

BBC.com reports that the series has re-commissioned Mentorn Scotland to make it in Glasgow. The series with is rebooted format was well received when it premiered earlier this year with Team Apollo emerging victorious in the tournament.

The "Robot Wars" renewal has already been expected as the show had received tremendous ratings when it started again early this year. Further, during the first half, teams were already rumored to return "next time" which kind of gave away the suspense, but it definitely helps to have the official notice so that everything gets cleared up on coming "Robot Wars."

Radio Times has said that even the executive producer Andrew Robertson has been ecstatic of the new series considering how much of a success the first series has been. Indeed, the nerds and the geeks have been delighted for "Robot Wars" and have already been flooding the applications box.

With the news out, every loyal "Robot Wars" viewer is ecstatic on seeing the new teams battle it out. People are also excited to see Team Apollo back and defend their coveted title.
