Motorola Moto Z Review: Turbo Power Technology Boosts Charging, Specs, Price Point, Features Inside

Moto Z, believed to be the thinnest smartphone available in the market today, is integrated with premium specs, including a Turbo Power technology that allows fast charging. Motorola also released its own accessories called Moto Mods that transform the uses of the smartphone.

The new Motorola flagship device is suggested to be the thinnest smartphone as its thickness only measures at 5.2 mm. Its body made with aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel makes it look thinner and lighter as well. Moto Z also sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen display and a fingerprint reader.

Motorola claims that the 2600 mAh battery of Moto Z will provide up to 24 hours of battery usage. In addition, Moto Z equips the company's new technology called Turbo Power that is designed to pack the device with up to seven hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging.

Apart from its impressive battery, Moto Z also sports a 13MP f1.8 rear camera with laser autofocus capability and optical image stabilization feature. Its front shutter, on the other hand, is at 5 MP. The handset is also reportedly coated with water-repellant material that will keep it from the damages that may be caused by spills and splashes of water.

As for its hardware, Moto Z is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 integrated with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU according to GSM Arena. It has a selection between 32GB and 64GB storage capacity which can be expanded through microSD cards.

Moto Z can also be transformed into a speaker, camera and Insta-Share projector through the use of Motorola's Moto Mods. These are accessories that can magnetically mount at the back of Motorola devices which can modify the use of smartphones. Moto Mods, however, are sold separately.

Moto Z is reportedly available at $700 for its unlocked version, Android Authority reported. The handset comes in different color options such as Black/Gray, Black/Rose Gold, Black/Gold and White. Check out the features and specs of Moto Z and Moto Mods in the video below.
