‘Pokémon Go’ FastPokeMap Goes Live Again This Weekend, Creator Just Working On A Missing Piece

A popular third-party Pokémon tracker is going live again this weekend, a few months after Niantic shut down for breaking the rules of the "Pokémon Go" game.

FastPokeMap, one of the majority of third-party app that Niantic shut down a few weeks after "Pokémon Go" was launched, is said to be going online again. Refusing to give up, the developer of FastPokeMap went on to crack the API again, and the progress looks promising.

"We should be running again by friday/saturday. Testing everything," FastPokeMap announced on its official Twitter page.

"We'll keep reversing your game as long as your game is popular. FastPokeMap will continue to come back no matter how hard you try to kill it. But if you keep trying to kill it don't be surprised if soon there won't be anyone playing your game anymore," FastPokeMap earlier said in a statement meant for Niantic, as reported by BGR.

FastPokeMap is an online map tracker that dedicated "Pokémon Go" players created to keep track of all the places where Pokémons tend to appear all over the world. It is dubbed as one of the best online map trackers, managing to generate some 10 million views a day before it was shot down.

Niantic has made changes to the "Pokémon Go" API so that hackers and tinkerers would not be able to modify the game and cheat. But for fans of third-party software, that also meant preventing players to make the game for enjoyable. Android Authority noted that by putting such restrictions, "Pokémon Go" developer could only be contributing to the early demise of "Pokémon Go".
