'Van Helsing' Season 2 News & Update: Syfy Confirms Second Season! Learn The Details Here!

Fans of the new series, "Van Helsing" can expect more action from the show with Syfy's announcement that season two is definitely on the way. This recent development come as a surprise since "Van Helsing" premiered less than a month ago and as of this writing has just aired five episodes.

Furthermore, an article from CinemaBlend.com  says that huge ratings may not be the reason for the early announcement as viewer's stats of succeeding episodes after the premiere has not been very impressive, with less than a million views. Nevertheless, "Van Helsing" has been earning praises from critics with an 82 percent approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes.

Syfy blog site reported that with production for the second season set in January 2017, new adventures of "Van Helsing" may begin airing later next year. Similar to the first season, the second installment of "Van Helsing" will contain thirteen episodes as well.

According to a post published in Den of Geek , the acclaimed writer and director of the series, Neil Labute released a statement to show his gratefulness over Syfy's decision to renew "Van Helsing". Labute also promised more exciting and interesting storyline for viewers to watch out for. The executive producer of the series, Chad Oakes is likewise thrilled with the news and acknowledged the efforts of the men and women behind the show.

"Van Helsing" is part of Syfy's latest roundup of originals such as "The Expanse" and "Aftermath". The story set in 2019 show a grim world taken over by vampires. Its main protagonist, Vanessa Helsing has a unique ability to turn the vampires into humans again. The goal to save humanity will be far from easy, though, as vampires soon see her as a threat they need to get rid of.
