Kelly Clarkson and Baby River Rose Dances for the Diabetes Dance Dare

Kelly Clarkson shared a super memorable dance video of her and daughter River Rose on Twitter last Oct. 11 in full support of the Diabetes Dance Dare after being nominated by actress Melissa Peterman. The epic dancing duo showed some hilarious moves to the tune of a 1986 dance hit, Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It."

Clarkson captioned the fun video with a dare for the entire cast of NBC's The Voice (Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine) and Gwen Stefani: "@followtheblonde challenge accepted by me & River Rose 4 #DiabetesDanceDare I now challenge the whole cast of @NBCTheVoice & @gwenstefani."

The mother and daughter seems to have more reasons for dancing since Clarkson's children's picture book "River Rose and the Magical Lullaby" also made it in the top 10 of the New York Times' bestseller list this week. The Harper Collins book is a tale about a little girl and puppy's adventure during their first zoo trip.

Since Clarkson and husband Brandon Blackstock had their baby, things seem to be going tremendously well. But Clarkson admits that this was not always the case. The 34-year-old singer candidly admits to facing ridicule in her twenties because she was single and did not have a baby during a lunch with reporters for Good Housekeeping, according to U.S. Magazine.

A lot of people thought that she was gay. While it was hard on her at the time, she revels in the fact that they entered marriage more maturely and she believes that this had helped them handle married life with more ease.

"I learned that from my mother. She depended a lot, financially, on a man. I don't depend on him, and he doesn't depend on me. We made our own way in our own right, and I think that's what really helps too," she revealed.
