'xXx: Return Of The Xander Cage' Latest News And Updates: Indian Actress Deepika Padukone Steals The Show In The Latest Trailer With Some Serious Action

A new trailer for the upcoming Hollywood action flick, "xXx: Return of the Xander Cage" was released on Sunday night. The promo comes as a relief for the fans of the Indian actress, Deepika Padukone, whose appearance was minimal in the earlier trailers.

Deepika plays the role of Serena Unger who is described as wicked fast and extremely dangerous. The film's director D.J. Caruso stresses that she has a strong role in the film, and she cannot be messed with. The actress steals the show in the latest trailer much to the delight of the Indian audience. She stars opposite actor Vin Diesel in the film.

According to reports by Moves NDTV, Xander Cage in his return to the title role recruits a team to help him out at the advice of Samuel L Jackson. Each member of the film is said to have a special skill that will be explored.

The actress is seen carrying off some serious action stunts with knives, guns and has extremely strong dialogues, reported First Post. She is also seen retaining her Indian accent as she believes it is time people accept the Indian accent just as much as they accept the British or Australian accent. "I play an Indian girl in the film, and for me, it is a matter of great pride that I get to be myself. I was allowed to flaunt that I am Indian", Padukone added.

Elaborating on the experience of shooting for the film, the actress says that she would like to relive the whole shooting experience with the cast. The film is a sequel to the 2002 film "xXx "and 2005 film "xXx: State of Union." The film also stars Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, Chinese superstar Donnie Yen, Thai action-star Tony Jaa and Samuel L Jackson.

"xXx: Return of the Xander Cage" is slated for release on January 20, next year.
