Victoria and Brooklyn Beckham On A Three-Day Mission To Kenya for HIV Awareness

Celebrity royalty mother and son Victoria and Brooklyn Beckham took time off from their busy schedules to visit Kenya on a three-day mission for the purpose of HIV Awareness from Oct. 7 to 9, 2016. This is in keeping with one of Victoria's noble duties as an influential International Goodwill Ambassador for the UNAIDS campaign.

In one of her Instagram photo captions, Victoria Beckham succinctly explains the main purpose of her Kenya trip with son Brooklyn Beckham: information dissemination about the real hazards of HIV and the risks of transmitting it from mothers to babies. "Hanging out with teenagers in Kenya. Get tested, know your status, get treatment. NO STIGMA! @unaidsglobal @brooklynbeckham XVB," says Victoria Beckham in her Instagram photo post with Brooklyn and Kenyan teenagers.

Brooklyn seems to be thrilled in following his mother Victoria Beckham's philanthropic footsteps. Sporting a UNAIDS white shirt and black cap, he was seen with a newborn baby who was also named Brooklyn in his Instagram post. The mother and son simultaneously posted about this three-day affair in their social media accounts.

Victoria Beckham chronicled their three-day journey in more detail to her 12.8 million Instagram followers. She publicly praised Kenya's Beyond Zero mobile clinic initiative for vigorously promoting the health of mothers, newborns, and children. She also met with Kenyan government officials and natives of Kenya.

Aside from this, Victoria Beckham also used her Instagram for fund raising efforts. She used one post to appeal to the world to download and upload photos to the Donate a Photo app so that Johnson and Johnson will provide $1 for each uploaded photo for the cause of eliminating mother to child transmission of HIV in this African country.

The fashion designer and former Posh Spice added this meaningful cause as one of her numerous engagements. Victoria thinks of her global influence as a responsibility to pursue worthwhile endeavors like pushing for women and children's health.

"I would do anything for my children and I think every woman has the right to health and every woman has the right to give their children a healthy future," Victoria Beckham emphasized during her speech at the United Nations last September.

Prior to this public appearance in Africa, Beckham was promoting her fashion line and partnership with Estee Lauder. She also recently declined to join the much publicized Wannabe 20-year anniversary Spice Girls reunion because of her schedule and multiple commitments.
