Celebrity couple Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have reportedly called it quits for the second time.

Us Weekly shared that the break up was triggered by 24-year-old's busy schedule. "Jen has been working nonstop and they never saw each other," disclosed an insider to Us. Apparently, per the source, the couple's romance has "ran its course."

The couple began dating August of last year but time was a big issue because the pair "never saw each other."

However, there's more to the story, notes Mirror UK. It seems Lawrence grew tired of playing second fiddle to Martin's family. The publication reported, "Sources close to the 24-year-old Oscar winner claimed she grew increasingly tired of watching the Coldplay singer playing 'happy families' with his ex Gwyneth Paltrow."

The publication also added that since parting ways with Paltrow's ex, the Oscar-winning actress has been spending a lot of time with another ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, 25.

"They're on great terms now and their families have stayed close," said the Us Weekly report. In addition, Mirror adds that Nick is serious about winning back Lawrence. The ex-lovers have been co-stars in "X-Men" films and will star alongside each other in the upcoming movie, "X-Men: Apocalypse."

"He's hoping that during filming, he'll win her heart again," said an insider.

This marks the second time Lawrence and Martin have parted ways in a year. The Hollywood A-Lister is believed to be Martin's first serious relationship since ending his marriage with his ex-wife, the "Iron Man" star.

Lawrence has also been spotted roaming New York solo and hasn't been photographed with Martin in quite some time. NY Daily News also shares that the actress is currently apartment-hunting in the Manhattan area, specifically the Tribeca neighborhood.

While there is speculation that Hoult wants to get back with Lawrence, the two men in Jennifer's life have been linked to other women. Mail Online notes that Chris has been spotted spending time with singer Kylie Minogue while Hoult has been linked to Dianna Agron, formerly of "Glee."

Jennifer and Nick have a long history together. They were dating for a long time -- about four years -- until they called it quits back in 2014. They were also linked during the time that Martin and Lawrence took a break towards the end of last year.

Lawrence stars in the final film of the "Hunger Games" franchise, "Mockingjay Part 2" which hits theaters on November 20.
