Darlington Nagbe Skipped USMNT Call-up, No Trip To World Cup For Midfielder?

When the MLS season ended last December 2015, middle fielder Darlington Nagbe was playing like the finest player in the league and he made the most of every appearance. Coach Jurgen Klinsmann gave him but suddenly he declined to play in U.S nation team!

All of his accomplishment last year had everyone believing 2016, he would be the year Nagbe finally flourished into a world-class player capable of making best use of his considerable talent and cracking the label of American soccer's riddle but it turns out to be the opposite when Darlington declined a U.S. National Team call-up for the reason that he wants to spend more time with his family, an ESPN analyst TaylorTwellman statement during the broadcast of Tuesday's game between the U.S. National Team and New Zealand according to The Oregonian News.

The reason doesn't seem as cut and pleasing as it sounds to many critics and soccer fans. Critics even spoke about Nagbe's decision in an unconstructive allegation on Tuesday's broadcast, even revealing that people around U.S. Soccer were confused about the decision.

On Star and Stripes FC Wahl said that Nagbe isn't pleased with his national team playing time and the way Klinsmann uses him in the field. His angry fans also believed that Nagbe could very well not get another call-up going forward.

This is a one a hard situation as the midfielder Darlington clearly has immense athletic qualities, but Klinsmann evidently doesn't think he's an essential player at all. While some fans completely understand Nagbe's frustrations as they and many other supporters share them, compromising their position on the team to make a statement is gallant.

In the near future, expect that it doesn't look like we'll be seeing Darlington Nagbe playing with the USMNT for quite sometimes. Hopefully, both parties can resolve and come to an agreement that sees Nagbe back with the national team in the next few years.
