Nokia Confirmed Two Devices To Unveil This Year, Two More Smartphones Will Be Launched In 2017

Nokia brand new devices are set to be released before this year ends as confirmed by the CEO James Rutherfoord of Microsoft Asia-Pacific. The company CEO reportedly announced that HMD Global are slated to reveal two new Nokia devices this year while two other Nokia smartphones will be launched around the second quarter of 2017. This comes as good news to Nokia enthusiasts who have been waiting for the release of the highly anticipated Nokia smartphones for a while now.

The news about the release of Nokia devices from Microsoft CEO Rutherford first appeared in a Vietnamese publication according to NokiaPowerUser. With Nokia releasing two brand new devices this year, hopes are high that the company will be able to revive its name in the smartphone market for good. Additionally, Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri will also attend the MWC 2017 and is suggested to discuss its business with mobile carriers given that the other CEOs to speak at the event are from AT&T, KT and Telefonica, GSM Arena reported.

However, it seems that the MWC 2017 event will not see the reveal of any Nokia phones yet. Speculations emerged that Nokia D1C may possibly be announced at the event but there is only a very little chance to it. Nevertheless, there are only two months left for the release of Nokia's new devices so fans could just wait for a little longer then.

Speaking of Nokia D1C, recent reports claimed that the device is not a smartphone after it was ran on GFXBench. The GFXBench listing confirmed that Nokia D1C has a large 13.8-inch screen with full HD display. Given its large screen, Nokia D1C is speculated to be a tablet rather than a smartphone.

Nokia D1C, according to Phone Arena, will run on the new Android 7.0 Nougat and might be powered by Snapdragon 430 and Adreno 505 GPU. Other specs include 3Gb of RAM, 16GB storage capacity, 16MP rear camera and 8MP front snapper. Check out Nokia D1C features in the video below.
