"Girl Meets World" Season 3 cancellation news claim that the show may be moving to another network, specifically Freeform. Rumors of the show's move to another network began since fans thought that Disney Channel can no longer cater to the growing characters of the show.

As most fans know, Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and their friends entered high school in "Girl Meets World" Season 3. Riley and Lucas (Peyton Meyer) aka "Rucas" also became a couple this season.

Fans believed that "GMW" Season 3 would be better off moving to a network that does not censor mature storylines. However, the show always finds a way to balance the network's censorship and delivering prevalent issues among teens and children.

A petition has been raised on change.org in hopes of getting a "Girl Meets World" Season 3 renewal from Disney Channel. In an interview with The New York Times, Rowan Blanchard also admitted that she was scared of playing a role on Disney.

"I would be lying if I told you being on Disney wasn't scary because of the connotation of it," she said.

Blanchard said that being on "Girl Meets World" Season 3, she has often been stereotyped with other Disney stars such as Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus or Demi Lovato. However, she insisted that being on Disney does not immediately mean that they are going to be the same as these three stars.
