Molly Sims to Lose Ten Pounds to Get Back Pre-Pregnancy Body

Seven months have passed since Molly Sims gave birth to her first child, Brooks Alan Stuber. However, she is struggling hard to shed the extra pounds she gained during pregnancy and regain her pre-pregnancy body.

"I'm still about ten pounds away and my baby is seven months," the actress told Us Weekly, at the Elle Women in Television event in West Hollywood last week. "And I look at Claire Danes at the Globes and I'm like, I hate you."

During the chat, Sims also cited her thyroid condition during pregnancy behind the 65 pounds she gained after conceiving her child.

"My thyroid kind of shut down, so that really made it very difficult in terms of the weight loss," she said.

The 39-year-old is following a strict diet without salt or oil and lean protein to achieve her goal.  Apart from that, she is under the personal care of celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson.

Last year in October, the former model/actress revealed a similar concern.

"The pressure is part of the problem because we feel like we need to look like a 20-year-old or someone in a magazine who just stepped out three weeks later and? it's not realistic," Belfast Telegraph quoted Sims on "Shed Baby Pounds Like A Celebrity" on the Today show, in October 2012.

Sims dropped out of college to pursue her career in modeling. She has starred in several comedy films such as "The Pink Panther 2", "The Benchwarmers", "Yes Man", and "Fired Up". She also played the role of Delinda Deline on the NBC series "Las Vegas".

She married film producer Scott Stuber Sept. 24, 2011 and confirmed pregnancy in January. The couple welcomed their son in June 2012.
