'Once Upon A Time' Season 6, Episode 5 Recap: Will Aladdin Cut His Savior Status?

"Once Upon A Time" season 6 has shown what happened in the past during the time of Aladdin (Dennis Akdeniz) and Princess Jasmine (Karen David). It appears that Aladdin was the "diamond in the rough" that can defeat Jafar (Oded Fehr). However, Aladdin's fate may be otherwise.

"Once Upon A Time" showed what happened many years ago in Agrabah. Princess Jasmine asked the help of street rat Aladdin. This is to help her steal the "Diamond in the Rough."

Apparently, the "Diamond in the Rough" is a powerful weapon that can defeat evil Jafar from ruling the capitol. "Once Upon A Time" showed Aladdin and Princess Jasmine in the Caves of Wonder, the place where they could get the said weapon.

Looking for the weapon, the two characters brought to life by "Once Upon A Time" almost died in a cave-in. However, Aladdin used magic to save both of them. "Once Upon A Time's" Princess Jasmine then realizes that the weapon was not really a diamond or any sort of thing. It was actually Aladdin.

Princess Jasmine travels back to her palace to alert her father that the Savior was on his way. Jafar then, visited Aladdin on the cave when the "Once Upon A Time" princess left. He showed Aladdin his dire fate.

Jafar told Aladdin that he could very much avoid that if he were to "cut" his Savior status using magical shears.

Back on Princess Jasmine's palace, Jafar appears and said there will be no Savior. He then traps Jasmine in a magical hourglass which will drown her in sand. Luckily, Aladdin appears and uses his magic to save them.

Aladdin then tried to convince Jasmine to go with him and search for Jafar. The princess however, declined and said she needed to take care of Agrabah. When Aladdin left, the magical shears appeared on his messenger bag.

Jafar used a red bird which is an oracle. A lot of "Once Upon A Time" fans thought the bird was "Once Upon A Time's" version of Zazu according to Entertainment Tonight. It also seemed like the bird is wreaking havoc on both Aladdin and Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) world.

Emma had been tricked by the Purely Evil Queen to tell her vision where she died. Regina (Lana Pairilla) dashes off and creates a locator spell to locate Aladdin as she fears she might be the one that will one day kill Emma.

Emma uses the locator spell where they reached a crypt in the woods. Jasmine found a scarab she gave Aladdin before and quickly assumed he was dead. This also made Emma think that all Saviors will die and asked everyone to leave.

When they did, however, "Once Upon A Time's" Aladdin emerges from the crypt. He then explained he used the magical shears after Agrabah fell and fled to the Enchanted Forest. It has also been revealed he was living among them all this time. Soon, Aladdin found Jasmine and revealed himself.

On the other hand, Emma asks the help of Hook to hide the magical shears. She said she would only use them as a last resort if they can't find anything else that could take her out of her position.

Nonetheless, it was revealed that Hook lied it and was in fact, in the possession of the shears.

"Once Upon A Time" comes back Oct. 30 at ABC. Stay tuned for more "OUAT" updates.
