'Gilmore Girls' Cast News: 'The Notebook' Star Ryan Gosling Got Rejected For A Role?

"The Notebook" star, Ryan Gosling, almost got cast for "Gilmore Girls" as revealed during the "Gilmore Girls Fan Festival" in Connecticut. The series' casting director, Jami Rudofsky, shared that he recalled Gosling during his early stardom days.

In a report by Vulture, the "Gilmore Girls" casting director said that a blonde teenage guy auditioned for a series she failed to mention during the panel discussion. At the time, the guy was late, and she was not amused with his trait. Later on, she realized that the teenage blondie has rigged the audition.

Eventually, the same late teenage boy auditioned for "Gilmore Girls." Apparently, Rudofsky and her co-casting director could not clearly remember for which role Gosling auditioned for, but she said she thinks it's just a minor role. Gosling was trying to be some "football guy" in "Gilmore Girls" if Rudofsky's memory serves her right.

The casting director remembers Gosling as the late blondie teenage guy, and she said that the award-winning actor just blew off, shocking the "Gilmore Girls" event attendees that day. Gosling could have been one character in "Gilmore Girls," but he was said to have fell flat, hence, not making it to the early 2000s series.

While it has been a rather sad news that the "Crazy Stupid Love" actor was not able to join "Gilmore Girls" back in the day, good news is that the mother and daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore are back soon on the small screen. "Gilmore Girls" remake "Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life" will be gracing Netflix on Nov. 25.

According to TV Guide, an estimated 10 million will be anticipating the release of Netflix's reboot of Amy Sherman-Palladino masterpiece. The reboot will be a four-episode special which will come out during Thanksgiving, making fans easily binge-watch the show.

Almost all of the original "Gilmore Girls" cast will reprise in the Netflix remake, including Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, as per Deadline. Other casts include Keiko Agena, Matt Czuchry, Sean Gunn, Jared Padalecki, Liza Weil, Yanic Truesdale and Melissa McCarthy.
