Dressing Up As Killer Clowns This Halloween? Think Again

With killer clowns on the loose, it seems that dressing up as clowns this Halloween season would not be appropriate even for toddlers and teens. Killer clowns have become rampant today and have spread virally over the news and social media as they attack and harass people while dressing up as clowns causing a bit of hysteria for the people around the neighborhood.

Halloween is the season of dressing up in different costumes and playing out different roles and at the same time go to family events or go to the neighbors and go trick or treating. It is also the time where almost everyone is wearing their costumes, and sometimes, people can no longer become identifiable when they put on that mask.

With the rise of killer clowns, however, dressing up as a clown may impose more danger as it would cause mass hysteria to a neighborhood or would even put the person at risk as he may be labeled as a threat to the community. The hysteria has become so much more dangerous than what it has originally been that countries like Germany have imposed tougher sentences for killer clowns.

While the thought of dressing up as clowns and evoke fear among the neighbors would be much appealing for the spirit of  Halloween season, but then kids should know that there will always be a time and place for everything, and now is not the perfect time to dress up as killer clowns. Romper reports that there are various states that have arrested clowns for causing a public disturbance and that there have been various requests for clowns to do something criminal for certain people.

To be safe this Halloween, parents better dress up their kids as Disney characters or superheroes, just as long as they are not killer clowns. There are many ways of going trick-or-treating, and going out on a killer clown costume spells more trouble than treats.
