Kanye and Jay-Z Feud: Kanye Rants Against Former Mentor, Jay-Z Calls Kanye a Nut Job

It seems that the 16-year-old friendship of superstar rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West might be seeing its end. A Kanye and Jay-Z feud seem to be in the works instead as fans were left dumbfounded during a recent concert of Kanye West in Seattle.

The duo has been collaborating for more than 10 years and even released an album together in 2011 called "Watch the Throne." But sources say that things have not been going well between Jay-Z and Kanye lately, as evidenced with Kanye proclaiming that there will never be another "Watch the Throne" due to issues between Tidal (which Jay-z owns) and Apple.

One more thing that added to the feud is that Jay-Z apparently was not a very good friend to West and his wife Kim Kardashian following Kim's traumatic experience in Paris. Daily Mail reported that Kanye is upset over the fact that instead of personally going over to see them after the robbery at gunpoint incident last October 3 where Kim was robbed of millions, Jay-Z just made a phone call.

Fans even tweeted during the concert that West claimed his kids North and Saint have never even had a play date with Blue Ivy, Jay-Z's daughter with singer Beyonce despite everyone's perception that the families were close. Though Kanye never mentioned Jay-Z by name during his concert at the Key Arena in Seattle last October 19, there was no doubt that he was talking about the rapper-mogul.

Meanwhile, according to Page Six, a source said that Jay-Z was never really as close with Kanye as everyone thought. He considers Kanye a nut job, who wants too much of the spotlight while Jay-Z likes to maintain his privacy.

That is evidenced with how different their weddings were. The West-Kardashian wedding was plastered on every major magazine while Jay-Z's 2008 wedding barely had any publicity.

No official statement has been made by Jay-Z regarding this brewing feud with Kanye West, but it's safe to say that this may just be the beginning of the end of the Throne.
