'Pokemon GO' Halloween Event Gives PokeMasters More Bonuses, Candies & More

There is not but a perfect time to get all the monsters and the candies than Halloween. So in the spirit of this forthcoming sweet and scary holiday, "Pokemon GO" will be commencing its own trick or treat to get more Pokemon players moving.

Polygon reports that Niantics Labs will be setting up a virtual trick or treat for the "Pokemon GO" players. Starting Oct. 26  until Nov. 1, treats will overflow everyone's jack o' lanterns, candy reservoir and Pokemon troves as candies will be doubled during the Halloween event.

During the "Pokemon GO" event, catching a pocket monster will earn one six candies instead of the original three. Meanwhile, transferring of Pokemon monsters to the Professor can give two candies instead of one. Trainers can also get to earn as much as four candies instead of one.

Also, while everyone's at it, collecting real candies along the neighborhood, might as well try to catch "Pokemon GO" monsters as several of them are likely to be caught easier. Until Halloween day, there will be an increased chance of catching Haunter, Zubat, Gengar, Golbat, Drowzee, Ghastly and Hypno.

In a perfect world, it could have been better if Pokemon masters can get to see new skins for the pocket monsters. As per Forbes, the best time for Niantic to release unlockable cosmetics for Pokemon monsters would be this spooky holiday. Pikachu ears or masks that can be unlocked through candies sounds about right this time, ain't it?

Four days ago, Niantic sneak-peeked a possible Halloween event for "Pokemon GO" players. After a tease revealed on Twitter, "Pokemon GO" players over Reddit were quick to speculate the upcoming, first ever "Pokemon GO" event. True enough, the "Pokemon GO" developer had their ways to ride on the holiday frenzy and get more Pokemon gamers hooked up with the location-based reality game.

As previously reported by Parent Herald, "Pokemon GO" players plummeted to a minimal extent, but this does not mean Niantic Labs is losing in the business. Albeit the decline in the hype, the gaming behemoth still amasses a whopping $2 million a day.
