Samsung News, Specs, Rumors: 5.5Inch Galaxy S8 To Support 8GB DRAM, Heading Towards MCW 2017?

South Korean tech brand Samsung is definitely putting its horrid past behind and continues to look on the brighter side. The company is now prepping the industry for the arrival of the Galaxy S8 and the bag full of rumors it packed along the way.

Samsung is ready to move forward despite the gaping hole left behind the exploding Galaxy Note 7 brouhaha. Admittedly, their focus is now on the Galaxy S8, a similar flagship that will somewhat fill the void. But for what it's worth, the upcoming device is on a steady roll as it is slowly being introduced to the world.

Android Authority recently reported that Weibo's post pits the Samsung Galaxy S8 to be 5.5inch Smartphone with a 6GB RAM. There's also rumors surrounding the product will carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chip or the Samsung-made Exynos 9985 CPU. However, the chips will vary depending on where the Samsung Galaxy S8 was purchased.

On a familiar standpoint, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is groomed to support Google's Daydream VR initiative together with Samsung's USB-Type C-Gear VR headset to complement the feature. Another recent trinket is that the Galaxy S8's release might be delayed due to Samsung engineers and experts still finding the culprit behind the Note 7 catching fire.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will also have the potential to use the next generation Dynamic Random Access Memory, or the DRAM. In other words, the Galaxy S8 will tout a jaw-dropping 8GB LPDDR4 DRAM, said Tech Radar. It added that the boost in RAM will enable gadgets to exploit new innovations such as dual cameras, 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) playback and of course, Virtual Reality.

This also follows the same track when they claim that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will ship with a curved display screen, bigger and better RAM and two cameras rather than the traditional flat display version. There is also word that Samsung will tap LG to produce its battery, which will also be found on the next-gen Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Should there be no hiccups along the way, we might get to see the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Note 8 at the Mobile World Congress 2017 on February 27-March 2 in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona.
