Xiaomi Mi Max Smartphone the Latest Addition to Xiaomi’s Gadgets: Mi Max the Next iPhone?

Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant which is the 4th largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, has plans to introduce the new model Xiaomi Mi Max into the market.

Prices start at around $515 (CNY 3,499) and is considered a cutting-edge phone thanks to its edgeless display and revolutionary design. Xiaomi is known for going the distance with their high-end gadgets that are not the norm with other tech companies.

The main goal for Xiaomi Mi Max is to keep the price in check while giving it the right kind of specs that customers will love. According to Xiaomi's Vice President of International Hugo Barra, Xiaomi Mi Max has a rating of 91.3 percent, which is the highest screen-to-body ratio on any smartphone available in the market today.

The Xiaomi Mi Max has a 17:9 aspect ratio along with a 1,080 by 2,040 resolution and the edgeless display measures 6.4 inches in diagonal. The ability to use the on-screen interface while having an incredible viewing area with a 16:9 aspect ratio is the main reason why the Xiaomi Mi Max has a 17:9 display.

When watching videos on the Xiaomi Mi Max, the user will not have black bands on the top and bottom and the interface buttons will stay on the condensed side when the phone is rotated.

The Xiaomi Mi Max also has a clever way to increase the space for the display by having no visible proximity sensor on the anterior panel. Xiaomi instead installed an ultrasonic sensor at the back of the screen.

The Xiaomi Mi Max also introduced a ceramic acoustic technology that allows the smartphone to skip using a basic speaker in order to produce sound. The tech company is also very satisfied with the phone's seamless connectors, and they also used ceramics for the rear and front panels with a mineral hardness of 8MoHs.

The smartphone runs on a Snapdragon 821 chip that is also used in Google Pixel. The Xiaomi Mi Max has a 128GB storage capacity and 4GB of RAM. The Mi Max also has a 192Hz/24-bit DAC chip for a high-res audio and the fingerprint sensor and camera has an 18-karat gold accent.

Xiaomi Mi Max was tagged as the new iPhone. It has been noted that Xiaomi has a clear edge since the iPhone doesn't have the same specs when it comes to the exterior design. The iPhone uses aluminum, while the Xiaomi Mi Max uses ceramic.
