‘Secrets And Lies’ Canceled After Season 2 On ABC: Low Ratings Blamed For Cancellation? [SPOILERS]

"Secrets and Lies" is on its second season on ABC, but the show seems to be lacking interest from the audience. Ratings for the Juliette Lewis-led series continue to drop, which led to speculations that the show may get the axe from the network. Is it time to say goodbye to Detective Cornell and the team?

"Secrets and Lies" Season 2 is going through a major drop in ratings, which does not look good to fans and viewers who have grown fond of the show. TV Series Finale reports on the show's ratings since its season premiere on ABC.

In "Secrets and Lies" Season 2 premiere, the show only received a 0.96 rating, which is a 37.25 percent drop from the show's average ratings in Season 1. On average, the show has received a 0.86 rating, which is 42.50 percent lower than last season.

Since ratings are one of the main indicators of a show's future on air, a half drop in ratings does not seem too promising for "Secrets and Lies." This could mean that the show may soon get canceled on ABC.

Part of the reason behind the drop in ratings may be due to the fact that "Secrets and Lies" Season 2 is competing with more shows this time. Aside from this, some of the characters from the first season are no longer around in season 2.

As TVLine notes in its "Secrets and Lies" Season 2 episode 4 recap, there is a growing list of murder suspects on the show. Aside from this, it was revealed that Danny was a detective.

The publication also notes on a possible romance between Patrick and Kate in "Secrets and Lies" Season 2. In one particular scene, Patrick seemed to be hurt when he learned that Kate suspected him as a killer.
