'The Divergent Series: Allegiant' Stars Theo James, Shailene Woodley Now Dating? Read What He Said [Rumors]

Since the beginning of the movie adaptation of Veronica Roth's Divergent series, rumors about a possible real-life romance between co-stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley have been rampant.

With the actors set to appear in the franchise's third installment, "Divergent: Allegiant - Part 1" sources report we may finally see a true-to-life relationship blossom. If interpretation is accurate, according to Movie News Guide, James may have just hinted he's looking for something a little less "professional."

The 30-year-old reportedly told Times Union, "In a nice way, Shai and I - it's a slow burn. We are 100 percent good friends, but it's a slow burn thing; I think there's still more to come. At least I hope so."

The site further adds that through the years, James and Woodley, 23, have always spoken highly of each other.

Fans have always wondered why nothing has materialized in the romance department for the pair. Speaking of how fond he is of "The Fault In Our Stars" actress, Realty Today quoted James saying, "She's probably a much better person than I am. I was impressed by her level of ethical ability to kind of strive to be a better person, like with her environmental issues. Shai is 100 percent genuine in her way and very real. She really does those things in a way that puts us all to shame."

"Divergent" Love Scenes

During an earlier interview with E! per Yibada, Theo commented on the sex scenes which they had to film. James said it was quite awkward when the director would call for them to freeze during an intimate scene. James confessed it was quite uncomfortable because they were usually naked and sweating but it appears Woodley is a bigger pro in these areas because she's had more experience.

Woodley did emphasize the importance of being cool, calm and collected in those particular moments to ensure the footage looks natural.

The first film in the two-part series conclusion is set to hit the United States theaters on March 18, 2016. "Allegiant - Part 2" will then follow a year later on March 24, 2017.
