Most Anticipated Horror Games 2017: Are You Ready For Something Scary?

2017 is just a couple of months away and since it's Halloween, discussing some of the most anticipated horror games seems like a good idea. Depending on the scare-threshold of the player, some of these games may scare or may just create goosebumps depending on the experience.

Five of the scariest upcoming horror games of 2017 compiled by Gamespot are going to be the main basis for today's discussion. This selection is based on trailers and announcements compiled into one list.

First is "Outlast 2," which is a sequel to "Outlast" released in 2013. This installment is said to be bigger and scarier than the previous version, which is really scary. The story takes place in a desert and just like the previous game, you have your handy dandy camera with night vision capabilities. The demo is currently available at the PlayStation store for download.

Next is "Hello Neighbor." This game is designed to test the player's ingenuity and observation skills. The game takes place in a suburban neighborhood where the player's character needs to trick his weird neighbor in order to intrude and discover his hidden secret.

"Resident Evil 7" may be one of the scariest on this compilation. The story happens way before the Raccoon City Outbreak. In fact, this takes place before the mansion outbreak in the first "Resident Evil" installment. Capcom has reconstructed the traditional gameplay and switched to first person survival horror with VR support. The demo is also available at the Playstation store for download.

The fourth game on this compilation is another remake of a 1994 PC game "System Shock." This space horror game takes place in a space station littered with cyborgs and dead people. The remake is a total overhaul, and the demo looks amazing.

Finally, the final game on this compilation is "Friday the 13th." This game started out through Kickstarter, which now is in development scheduled to come out next year. The story is pretty simple, you can either play the camp counselor, one of the campers or Jason Voorhees himself.

So with the five games on this compilation, which game excites you the most and why? Give us your answer by putting a comment below.
