Mariah Carey, James Packer Update: Diva Refuses To Leave Their Home, Blames Scientology On Break Up?

Despite the fact Mariah Carey and James Packer never pushed through with their planned wedding, their break up is looking like the typical messy divorce of Hollywood couples. The latest update in the Mariah Carey-James Packer saga, according to TMZ, is an LA mansion.

Mariah Carey reportedly does not want to leave the home that she shared with the billionaire, despite being asked to leave the premises. She now wants Packer to buy her a mansion. It can be remembered that Carey uprooted her family to LA to be with Packer.

Now, insiders from Mariah's camp say that another factor might have contributed greatly to the break up - Scientology, or rather Tommy Davis, who was closely associated as a spokesman for Scientology from 2005-2011, as reported by LA Times.

How might have Tommy Davis caused the breakup? TMZ claims that Davis told Packer that he was spending too much money on Carey, which might be true because the engagement ring given to Mariah was worth $10 million. Or another thing is that Davis could be influencing the billionaire businessman to be a part of Scientology again. Whatever it is, sources say that Mariah blames the breakup on Davis and not Packer.

The couple first met in 2014 in the affluent Aspen and got engaged at the beginning of the year. Artist Mariah Carey was previously married twice, to music mogul Tommy Mottola, artist Nick Cannon, with whom she had twins with. Australian James Packer meanwhile, was also married twice and was even linked briefly to Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr.
