Man Who Couldn't Swim Found Dead in Demi Moore's Pool

A 911 call was made, reporting a man who was found dead, floating in the swimming pool of Demi Moore's home in Oak Pass road, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Firefighters received the call early in the morning at around 5:00 am and notified the Los Angeles Police Department when they found the dead man, according to NY Daily News.

The police arrived shortly after.

After the paramedics took the man out of the water and afterwards applied immediate treatment to the man, he was pronounced dead at 5:30 am, Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner said, according a report on MSN.

The man who died from drowning was later identified as Edenilson Steven Valle from Los Angeles, a 21-year-old staff in Moore's home. He was described by officials as a Hispanic man.

He was one of a few people who were there in Moore's home for a small gathering hosted by her assistant, said Los Angeles Police Department officer Mike Lopez. "It appears to be a tragic accident", he adds in his report.

Lt. Corral says he was found floating dead at the deep end of the backyard pool, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Family and friends report to authorities that he did not know how to swim. A TMZ report also say that the assistant and other staff went out at some point, leaving the victim behind. They found him drowned when they returned.

Reports also say there was a "limited amount" of alcohol present.

Authorities investigating the incident are ruling out foul play. It appears that the victim slipped and fell into the pool, and drowned. Investigators say that he had been floating on a raft and possibly fell asleep before toppling into the water, notes NY Daily News.

Sources report to TMZ that Moore's daughters frequently threw parties before the incident. However, none of the family members were present at the time, as they were out.

"I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news," Moore said in a statement released through her publicist, Heidi Lopata.

"The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man's family and friends," the actress adds.

TMZ was the first to report the drowning incident.
