Chris Brown Home Robbery Update: Invasion Planned By Singer's Close Friends? Possibly Gang Related, Says LAPD [Rumor]

The recording artist, singer and dancer, Chris Brown, appears to have the wrong set of friends as rumor suggests that his close friends were involved in a home invasion robbery case that occurred on Wednesday, July 15, at the performer's estate in Los Angeles. This is at least what Brown and the police suspect.

In a report from TMZ, law enforcement sources and insiders associated with the 26-year-old singer revealed that the four guys, who ransacked Brown's home, were not just casual friends but were actually close friends of the singer. Moreover, the report also suggests the involvement of a club promoter or someone close to Chris, who has an idea that he has just received $50k in cash for an appearance and that the money was kept in his home.

According to Mail Online, update on the inside job came to light after claims that Brown was monitored by the criminals, who patiently waited until the performer is busy with a public appearance prior to invading his home.

Reports say that the armed and masked men forced their way into Brown's San Fernando Valley house, held his aunt hostage in a closet and ransacked the home for money and expensive valuables while the singer was performing in a Hollywood club. According to Officer Liliana Preciado, "The suspects got away with an unknown amount of cash, electronics and personal items."

His aunt was not hurt and was able to call the police, but only after the invaders were long gone. When Brown heard the news, he came home to check on his aunt and left after learning that she was not hurt

It must have been painful for Brown if it is true that his close friends were involved in the incident. However, in another report from TMZ the singer was already warned by his mother for years about the people he hangs out with. Chris' mom, Joyce Hawkins, even referred Brown's friends as "no good-ass friends." Moreover, TMZ has learned that friend issues were among the reasons the mother and son were beefing for years.

Hawkins tweeted hours after his son's home was ransacked with a meaningful post that seems to address Chris, she wrote, "Watch who you standing beside." Chris probably understands what his mom means.

Aside from Brown's close friends, the Blood gang was also dragged into the case. Enstarz reveals that the Los Angeles Police Department's Gang Unit has been assigned the case for the possibility that the Bloods were also involved in the incident.

Detectives are currently canvassing the neighborhood around the gate property for a probable surveillance footage camera. Lt. Kirk Kelley told reporters, "We're trying to see if there's any video evidence that might have picked up the suspects."
