'Grimm' Season 6 Spoilers, News: NBC Confirms Season 7 Cancellation, Pushes Spinoff Despite Fan's Online Petition

It's a sad day for "Grimm" fans as NBC announced that "Grimm" will not have any season 7. Fans were already disappointed that "Grimm" season 6 will only have 13 episodes as opposed to the usual 22. Loyal viewers of the show have even started a petition to save the series, but NBC seems firm in its decision.

The petition on Change.org has more than 10,000 supporters as of this writing, but it may not be enough to bring back the "Grimm" series for season 7. Fans are now speculating on what will happen in "Grimm" season 6, which will air starting January 2017.

Spoilers for "Grimm" season 6 state that Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) and Captain Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) will have an epic battle between them, as reported by Headlines and Global News. The two were in conflict at the end of "Grimm" season 5, with Renard working with the Black Claw and taking part in the murder of members of Hadrian's Wall.

Other speculations for "Grimm" season 6 is that Nick will be involved in a love triangle between him, Adalind Schade and Juliette Silverton/Eve. Theirs is a complicated relationship as Nick has a child with Adalind only because she changed disguised herself as Juliette.

Juliette, now known as Eve, has all of Juliette's memories but none of her emotions. It will be interesting to see who Nick will ultimately choose to be with at the end of "Grimm" season 6.

There might be a silver lining to the cloud, though. Movie News Guide reports that there might a spin-off series in the near future after the "Grimm" cancelation. The series might focus on everyone's favorite Blutbad and Fuchsbau couple, Monroe and Rosalee, and their still unborn baby.

NBC has not made any announcements on the rumored spin-off, so fans will need to cross their fingers and hope that this might be the case.

What are you most excited to see in "Grimm" season 6? Do you think that NBC could still renew the series?
