Michael Schumacher Health Condition News Update: Formula One Legend's Condition Still A Secret, Rumors Say He's Losing Too Much Weight

A message was posted on Michael Schumacher's official Facebook page just in time for the anniversary of his first world championship win in 1994. The message was publicized on Oct. 26, two weeks from the anniversary. It encouraged Schumacher's fans to share memories and celebrate the Formula One legend's many accolades.

Schumacher won the first of seven F1 World Championships back in Nov. 13, 1994. He won again in 1995 to achieve a back-to-back title victories with the Benetton Team. Schumacher completed his record seven world championships with the Scuderia Ferrari Team, winning five consecutive times from 2000-2004.

In addition to seven F1 World Championship titles, Schumacher also holds a number of records including most fastest laps, most race wins, and most pole positions. In 2004, he had the most races won in a single season.

Since the tragic skiing accident in December 2013, this is the first time Schumacher's camp has actually reached out and interacted with the legend's fans. They have provided the public with very limited information regarding Schumacher's health.

In Dec. 29, 2013, Schumacher and his family went on a holiday vacation to the Meribel Resort in the French Alps. While skiing, Schumacher fell and hit his head on a rock. He was then placed in an induced coma for six months before being weaned off from medication.

The Schumacher family is also involved in a legal battle with the press, according to Aussie Network News. This is mainly because of the numerous unverified rumors regarding Schumacher's condition. The family's lawyer had previously issued a statement to shut down claims that Schumacher is unable to walk again.

It is reported by Christian Times that he only weighs 45 kilograms and that he cannot walk. It is also said that the recovery progress of the world champ is very slow. But this report is not confirmed yet especially with the lack of details about his health from this family.

The statements released on Schumacher's health mainly come from Sabine Kehm, who is Schumacher's longtime manager. Kehm is calling for responsible journalism involving Schumacher's condition. The Facebook post will hopefully open doors for more open communication with regards to Schumacher's health and current condition.
