'Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials' - Trailer Out Thursday? Character Posters Released

"The Maze Runner," an adaptation from a young adult novel, was filled with suspense and action. It lacks the element of a love triangle in a positive way, which puts it in a better light than most films in the same genre. The film did well and earned enough to make a sequel. It made over 10 times its budget. The first movie, produced for just $34 million, made $340.8 million at the worldwide box office.  

Fans are pretty excited with the next installment of the said hit movie, and they will not be disappointed because brand new character posters will be unveiled. Also, a new trailer for the upcoming, "Maze Runner" film will debut on Thursday, according to JoBlo.

In a report from Comingsoon, 20th Century Fox has just released the first of six new character poster for the film's upcoming sequel, "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials." The first character poster they just released features star Dylan O'Brien, who plays the lead character, Thomas. Check out the photo below. 

Five more character posters will be released over the next 48 hours, and it will be culminated with the film's newest trailer.

"Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" adapts James Dashner's second book in "The Maze Runner" series, which unfolds the lives of Thomas and the other Gladers after they have successfully escaped the maze.  Thomas and his colleagues were placed in a dormitory where new dangers and challenges await for the group in case they consider to leave the said facility, according to Comingsoon.

Escaping the maze could be the perfect ending for Thomas and his colleagues, but their story is not yet over. The group, who thought they will earn their freedom after solving the maze, is up for another set of action and thrill in phase two because the WICKED is not done with them yet.  In this sequel, there are no rules or help. Gladers have to cross through the Scorch, the hottest area in the world, and they have only a week to do so. They need to make it, or they will die.

Of course, the WICKED plots several challenges along the way to make the odds against Thomas and the rest of the Gladers. It will test their friendship and loyalty. The report from Comingsoon stressed that "their survival depends on the Glader's destruction -and they are determined to survive."

"Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" will premiere in 2D, 3D and IMAX theaters on September 18, 2015.
