Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert Divorce 2015: Chris Young Breaks Silence on Affair Scandal, 'I Would Not Betray That Friendship'

When news regarding the split of one of country's music's most loved couple, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, broke, fans and followers of the two immediately speculated on the possible reasons behind the breakdown of their marriage. While no official statements regarding this matter has been released since the announcement of their breakup was made, rumors of infidelity on the part of the "Honey Bee" singer kept cropping up. It appears, however, that the speculators have it wrong as recent reports now point to a third party linked to Lambert as the reason for the split.

According to TMZ, Shelton's discovery of Lambert's marital indiscretions led to his decision to file for divorce two weeks ago. The report further revealed that "The Voice" judge proved that his now former wife cheated on him at least twice. The suspicions arose when Shelton started to hear rumors regarding the extramarital affairs of the "Something Bad" singer. While no concrete proof has been presented to verify the accuracy of this claim, one name popped up in relation to the infidelity - Chris Young.

TMZ pointed out that the two instances of cheating alleged by unnamed sources involved different men, and the first guy Shelton suspected of having relations with his wife is the Nashville Star winner. In a report by Radar Online, a source was quoted saying that Young and Lambert were spotted February at a bar in Nashville. According to the informant, the two were allegedly "really into each other." The source disclosed, "They were acting like a couple."

With the reports insisting on Young's involvement in the divorce of Lambert and Shelton, it came as no surprise when he himself addressed the concern. "I don't normally address gossip but in this case I will," Young wrote in his official Facebook account. He went on to say, "My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda's divorce. That is totally FALSE." Further asserting that he has nothing to do with the split, Young pointed out his amicable relationship with the two stars. He said "They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys - CY"

However, Young's alleged affair with Lambert is reportedly not the trigger for the divorce. According to TMZ, the second man, Shelton found his ex-wife to be in a relationship with finally pushed him to file the court documents. At the moment, the identity of the alleged third party, who is only described as not a country singer, remains unknown.
