'Sherlock' Gets Honest Trailers Treatment: Watch The Spot-On Video For Benedict Cumberbatch’s British-American Crime Drama a.k.a. ‘Downton Crabby’

The premiere date for "Sherlock" has been announced. It is all set for telecast from the 1st of January 2017. This might as well be the last season of the series according to rumors. Screen Junkies' new honest trailer of the show came at the time when PBS also announced its premiere. This rather makes it very timely.

An infamous parody has been released by the YouTube channel for the detective drama, "Sherlock." It was released on Tuesday. The parody was nicknamed as "Downton Crabby." It was a parody and as we expect from it, it starts poking fun at stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, who play Sherlock and Watson, respectively, reported Time.

"Meet Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective, obsessive-compulsive and high-functioning sociopath - which is all just Sherlock speak for, 'he's a ginormous d-k to everyone,'" begins the voiceover. "Thrill as he solves London's toughest crimes armed only with the ability to make helpful words float in thin air and the power of knowing whatever the script needs him to know."

We do not know if this parody will be taken in the right sense by the true hard fans of the show "Sherlock" as well as the fans of Benedict Cumberbatch. The show has enormous popularity and it is one of the most awaited shows of 2017. Official trailers of the show are released at timely intervals and the upcoming season is expected to be the darkest season of the series so far, reported CNet.

"Enjoy a witty, smart, clever show that's obnoxiously aware of how witty, smart, and clever it is; as it keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to solve the latest puzzles and cliffhangers," the narrator of the Honest trailer added. "Then spits in your face for even bothering to try."

BBC's "Sherlock" is returning January 2017 for its fourth season. Honest Trailers decided to finally give the show the sarcastic trailer it deserves.
