‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ News & Update: Sequel Leaked; Gameplay Details Out Under New Developer from Montreal

"Shadow of the Tomb Raider" is the new name that has been given to "Rise of the Tomb Raider" sequel after it was leaked by a guy believed to be working for game developer or marketer. This person was spotted in Montreal subway. He was allegedly working on PowerPoint presentation allegedly for Lara Croft's next iteration which is the sequel to "Rise of the Tomb Raider."

It was revealed earlier during the 2015 Gamescon by Phil Rogers, the figurehead of Square Enix, that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is a long-term investment. He also announced that its sequel is being planned on for development. The only doubt that was left was the revamped title will be exclusive on Xbox One by the fans. Rogers hinted that other platforms will experience Lara Croft as well, reported PlayStation Lifestyle.

Now, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is again hitting the headlines. But this time it is for a totally different reason. It is reported that there is a 'guy' who was working on a PowerPoint presentation. A man standing behind him sneaked and took a photo of the laptop screen. It is also allegedly reported that the name "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" coincides with the name that was floated a few months ago, reported VG247.

Fans and gamers have been trying to get an official statement from Square Enix for confirmation about the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" successor. They are also being pressurized to give the details of the gameplay for "Shadow of the Tomb Raider." Square Enix refused to comment on rumors.

If the source of the information is true, the sequel of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is being developed right now. That gives the reason for many to rejoice.

The only question that has been left unanswered is that it was San Francisco-based Crystal Dynamics who developed "Rise of the Tomb Raider." So why is the mystery man caught in a subway en route to Montreal. To remind you, Montreal is where the big names Eidos and Ubisoft reside.
