Melissa McCarthy Doesn't Want Kids to Watch 'Bridesmaids'

Melissa McCarthy's children are yet to watch their mama's role in the 2011 comedy film Bridesmaids.

During the L.A. premiere of her movie "Identity Thief", the 42-year-old actress revealed her unwillingness to allow her daughters, five-year-old Vivian and three-year-old Georgette to watch her rude role as future-sister-in-law to Maya Rudolph's character in Bridesmaids, Us Weekly reported.

"I have little tiny kids so they've seen 'Mike & Molly', but they haven't seen 'Bridesmaids' and they won't see this for a while either," the mom told Us Weekly.

However, the little children definitely know what their mom does.

"I don't know that my kids for sure know what I do," the actress told reporters. "There are one of these posters on the way to school," she said, referring to an "Identity Thief" poster, "and they kind of go, 'Hi, mama.'"

In the movie, the mother involves in some kind of violence and so the girls no doubt have to wait a long time to watch it. During the chat, the actress explained the situation that led her to punch co-star Jason Bateman, drawing some blood from his face.

"He threw me down on the ground on a highway and laughed at me," she told Us Weekly, "So then I thought I can take him."

McCarthy, who shot to fame with her role as Sookie St. James in the TV series "Gilmore Girls". She is widely known for her roles in the movies "The Nines", "The Back-up Plan" and "Life as We Know It".
