Manny Pacquiao, Jessie Vargas Fight News Update: Son Jimuel Pacquiao Death Hoax Rumors To Sabotage Bout

Manny Pacquiao will be entering the boxing ring once again to battle it out against Jessie Vargas after having announced his retirement following his third fight against Timothy Bradley. However, controversy emerged as a death hoax involving Manny Pacquiao's eldest son, Jimuel Pacquiao surfaced. The hoax is speculated to serve as a distraction for Pacquiao.

According to false reports, Pacquiao's son, Jimuel died of an asthma attack while attending the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. The Pacquiao-Vargas fight was then falsely announced to be canceled. The news was later confirmed to be a hoax in a report by Morning News USA.

The source of the news contains numerous grammatical errors, and is not very well-written, as stated by Movie News Guide. The false report declares that the hospital where Jimuel was allegedly admitted to, informed the press of Jimuel's death because of marijuana smoke inhalation. The hoax did make no mention of the name of a hospital.

It is rumored that the death hoax came about as a distraction for Pacquiao and his upcoming fight against Vargas. Speculations even suggest that it was made to sabotage the Pacquiao-Vargas fight.

Pacquiao is a huge figure in the Philippines, being a popular sports personality as well as a Philippine senator. However, the media in the Philippines did not report the news, which further proves the falsehood of the report.

Come Nov. 5, Pacquiao will face Vargas in the boxing ring at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. As far as Top Rank promoter, Bob Arum is concerned, he believes that Vargas is a strong opponent for Pacquiao. He further states that he would be devastated if Vargas does beat Pacquiao.
