'Patriots Day' Release Date, Latest News & Updates: Why Is It A Must Watch? A New Inspiring Drama And Thrill Movie

"Patriots Day" will be released in theaters on Jan. 13, 2017. The movie is based on the 2013 bombing in Boston Marathon that killed three persons and caused injuries to 264 people. 

The cast are Mark Wahlberg, J.K. Simmons as Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese, John Goodman as Ed Davis , Michelle Monaghan as Carol Saunders, Kevin Bacon as Richard DesLauriers, Alex Wolff as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Rachel Brosnahan as Jessica Kensky, Erica Mcdermott, Vincent Curatola as Mayor Thomas Penino, James Colby as Billy Evans, Cliff Moylan as Sergeant John MacLellan, Christopher O'Shea as Patrick Downes, Themo Melikidize as TamerianTsarnaev, Jimmy O. Yang and Michael Beach.

The movie is distributed by CBS Films and Lionsgate. The story is about Police Sergeant Tommy who joined the courageous survivors after the attack.  He is the first one to respond and investigate on who is behind the attack.

He caught the bombers before they strike again. The connivance of Special Agent Richard Deslauriers, Police Commissioner Ed Davis, Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese and Nurse Carol Saunders became the most sophisticated manhunts in law enforcement history according to IMDB

All of them have the guts to determine how justice could be administered. In fact, they are stood strong and continued to have a full of determination despite of what is happening in their city.

However, the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth rejected to film scenes on the campus of the University. But the movie was still shooting within Boston, Massachusetts and United States.  It is a movie that will allow you to recall history with drama and thrill.

"Patriots Day" is presumed to be an Oscar contender.  It has scored the coveted closing-night slot for the next month's AFI Fest in Los Angeles according to Boston Globe.

The Big Short movie was directed by Adam Mckays and went on to receive five Academy Award nominations.  This marathon bombing movie is getting an awards season launch.  The "Patriots Day" trailer was first debuted during Toronto International film festival.
