Twilight's Cam Gigandet Announces Son's Birth on Facebook

Cam Gigandet becomes a father for the second time. The 30-year-old "Twilight" actor and fiancée Dominique Geisendorff welcomed their son Rekker Radley Jan. 23.

The proud father took to his Facebook page to break the news.

"We have been very lucky to have had a peaceful few days at home, but I would like to release this myself before others do. Dominique gave birth to our second Child son Rekker Radley Gigandet on 1/ 23/ 2013. He is Healthy , Happy, and Perfect," Gigandet wrote.

The new addition will be joining elder sister Everleigh Rae Gigandet (3).

"We are Humbled to have the opportunity to call ourselves the parents of this beautiful soul and I am forever grateful to God for allowing me to know this kind of boundless, immaculate love," the new dad continued in his baby announcement. "Thanks to those of you who wish to send your positive energy and well wishes. May God bless you and your families abundantly."

The actor, who played the role of vampire James in the Twilight franchise, had earlier reported enjoying fatherhood more than anything else in his life.

"I'm in heaven, I really am. It's one of the best things in my life. It definitely is. It's great," the actor told MTV in September 2009.

Gigandet, who entered the acting world through the 2000 crime drama television series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", became popular with his performance in the films "The Roommate", "Priest" and "Easy A".
