‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 23 WEEK 9 [SPOILERS]: Who Among The Remaining Couples Will Advance To The Semi-Finals?

Things are getting intense in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 9 as the semi-finals of the competition looms. But prior to the elimination, fans will get to see the performances of their favorite couples as they flaunt their dance moves to the theme songs from some of the popular Broadway musicals during the upcoming "Showstoppers Week" of the show.

In "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 episode 9, Just Jared Jr. revealed that the 6 remaining couples are tasked to perform two dances. The dance performances will be divided into the Broadway musicals-inspired dances and the Team-Up challenge.

For the "Showstopper Week" in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 9, the couples will heat up the dance floor with dances such as contemporary, jazz, samba, Argentine tango, Charleston, paso doblé and waltz. The Team-Up Challenge, on the other hand, includes "Team-Up #1: James & Sharna/Calvin & Lindsay - Paso Doblé - 'No Good' by Kaleo; Team-Up #2: Jana & Gleb/Laurie & Val - Contemporary - 'Bird Set Free' by Sia and Team-Up #3: Marilu & Derek/Terra and Sasha - Jazz - 'Big Noise from Winnetka' by Bette Midler," Celeb Dirty Laundry noted.

For the guest performances in "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 9, fans will get to see Mark Ballas and The Four Seasons, and Leona Lewis, who will sing "Memory" from "Cats" perform. As for the celebrity judge, "Frozen" star Idina Menzel will be joining the panel of judges as one couple will be eliminated while the five other couples will get ready for the semi-finals of the competition.

Prior to "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week 9, the previous episode hailed James Hinchcliffe and Jenna Johnson (filling in for Sharna Burgess) as the highest scoring couple who received immunity from the nominations. Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke, on the other hand, were eliminated from the competition, Just Jared reported.
