Zotac Magnus ERX480 Houses AMD Radeon RX 480, Intel Skylake Core i5-6400T for Capturing the Real Gaming Experience with VR Capability

Zotac Magnus ERX480 captures the essence of real gaming experience with impressive hardware by housing AMD Radeon RX 480 and Intel Skylake Core i5-6400T. The mini gaming PC is designed to push the limits of the gaming and strikes a perfect balance between power and thermal for quiet performance plus its VR capability.

Zotac Magnus ERX480 is equipped with the new GPU powerhouse from AMD, the Polaris-based Radeon RX 480 (4GB GDDR5 256-bit). While delivering impressive performance, the Radeon RX 480 GPUs are more power efficient than their predecessors. This means lesser heat is generated. And in a small package like the Zotac Magnus ERX480, less heat is a must because of the limited space. None of this would have been possible with previous mini-pc kits with built-in GPUs that are largely dependent on Nvidia GeForce parts.

There are three models available for the Magnus, the "Barebones," Plus, and the Windows 10. At the heart of the tiny Zotac "Magnus ERX480 Barebones" box resides an Intel Skylake Core i5-6400T that supports up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM in both 1866 and 2133 variants and an M.2 connector for storage. The Zotac Magnus ERX480 Plus model comes equipped with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1TB 2.5-inch hard drive, and a 120GB M.2 SSD. This is perfect for Linux users who don't want the hassle of installing their own memory and storage.

Meanwhile, the Zotac Magnus ERX480 Windows 10 version is simply the Zotac Magnus ERX480 Plus version with Windows 10 Home 64-bit pre-installed from the factory.

All three models of the Zotac Magnus ERX480 come equipped with a host of the following USB ports: two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, one of each USB 3.1 Type-A, and USB 3.1 Type-C connections. The USB 3.1 ports are both gen. 2.

The Zotac Magnus ERX480 can handle four displays at once and comes with two HDMI 2.0 and two DisplayPort 1.3 ports. Zotac claims the mini PC can do 4K at 60Hz and don't forget the VR capability!

Aside from the impressive array of ports, the Zotac Magnus ERX480 is also equipped with the standard stuff, including 802.11ac/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and an SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader. The Zotac Magnus ERX480 measures 8.27" X 8" and is 2.45" thick. Pricing and a specific release date has not been announced yet.

Keep posted for more updates on the Zotac Magnus ERX480 and its 3 models.
